Trust the rust – it’s sublimation

It all depends on how you choose to look at things. You could either see a rusted out and stained piece of metal or you can see a piece of art created by Mother Nature. Except it’s not. Rustic boards are solely created by sublimation – a technique that allows to transfer any graphic or image onto many surfaces, in this case – steel.

Sublimation on the metallic surface means that creating an ‘old metal’ look: rust, aged brass, stained old gold, vintage copper – you name it – is achievable simply by choosing the texture and transferring it onto steel.

Rustic boards are virtually incorruptible. They bounce off the light playing tricks on the eye as if they were 3D and rough while remaining smooth and resistant to scratches and corrosion.
